Princeton Meadow Preschool offers a Kindergarten Program which can serve as an alternative to a public program, as extension for children attending half-day kindergarten, or as a bridge for children who have completed pre-k but are not quite ready to attend a public Kindergarten program yet. Our program runs Monday through Friday with morning classes and afternoon classes. Midday busing is available in the West Windsor-Plainsboro District.
The goals of our program are to support and enrich our students' kindergarten experience through a fun and multi-sensory approach to learning. Building self-esteem and a love of learning are a central focus of our program, as these traits provide a firm foundation throughout a child's education. We emphasize balance in the variety of activities we plan. We work on literacy, mathematics, science
A typical day in our Kindergarten Program will include:
Large, group, small group and individual activities
Language arts instruction and activities
S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) instruction and hands-on activities
Team-building activities and projects
Special subjects: art, music, physical education
Outdoor recess (weather permitting)
Our small class size allows for individualized attention with a current maximum of 10 students.
Schedule
Our morning program begins at 8:45 and ends at 11:45 (or when the bus arrives to transport the children to kindergarten). Our afternoon program begins at approximately 12:15 (or when the bus from kindergarten drops the students off). The day ends at 3:15. Students may have lunch here at Princeton Meadow. Students are required to bring their own peanut/nut-free lunch daily. We will supply a snack in both the morning and afternoon classes.
